Abstract:

Jedním z problému evoluční biologie je správné pochopení a popis změny struktury karyotypu v čase. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu je nutné vizualizovat pro jednodušší představu a prezentaci získaných dat. V současné době existuje řada vizualizačních nástrojů , které mají různé nedostatky. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá diskuzí těchto nástrojů spolu s jejich nevýhodami. Ve spolupráci s laboratoří Cytogenomika rostlin byl podle jejich požadavků navržen a implementován nástroj, který odstraňuje určité slabé stránky. Kromě návrhu a implementace nástroje je v diplomové práci popsána struktura eukaryotického chromosomu a evoluce genomu v čeledi brukvovitých (Brassicaceae). Výsledná aplikace je otestována na reálných datech a dosažené výsledky jsou shrnuty v závěru práce.

Abstract:

One of the problems of evolutionary biology is the correct comprehension and description of karyotype structure changes in time. For a simpler presentation and comprehension, it is important to visualize the results of this research. Nowadays, there are several visualization tools which are inadequate in some areas. The diploma thesis discusses these tools and their disadvantages. In cooperation with the Plants cytogenetics group and according to their requirements, an improved tool, which removes some of its weak points, was designed and implemented. In addition, in this work, the structure of eukaryotic chromosomes and the evolution of the genome in Brassicaceae were described. The final evolutionary tool was tested on real datasets and the results of these analyses are summarized in the conclusion of the thesis.
