Thematic Atlas of Western Europe Population

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Tematický atlas obyvatelstva Západní Evropy volně navazuje na bakalářskou práci Tematický atlas Západní Evropy, který se věnoval fyzické sféře. Tato práce se skládá ze dvou částí: teoretické a praktické. Výstupem praktické části je didaktická pomůcka – tematický atlas. Atlas obsahuje mapy, tabulky, grafy, doprovodné texty k jednotlivým tématům a pracovní listy. V teoretické části je popsán postup práce tvorbě atlasu: zdroj dat, kartografické metody, práce v programu ArcView, stručný obsah témat a pracovních listů. Cílem práce bylo vytvořit didaktickou pomůcku, který by mohla být využita při výuce zeměpisu na základních nebo středních školách

Abstract:

The thesis ‘Thematic atlas of Western Europe Population’ follow in the bachelor thesis ‘Thematic atlas of Western Europe’, which was focused on physical sphere. This thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The result of the practical part is a teaching aid - the thematic atlas itself. The atlas includes maps, diagrams, texts and worksheets. The practical part describes procedures used during creation of the atlas: source of the datas, cartographic methods, procedures in the program ArcView, brief summary of the themes and worksheets. The main objective of this thesis is to provide a geography teaching aid for primary and secondary schools.
