Tax literacy of high school students in Kroměříž

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou daňové gramotnosti u žáků střed-ních škol ve městě Kroměříž. Cílem práce je pomocí kvantitativního šetření identi-fikovat úroveň jejich daňové gramotnosti. Na základě výsledků dotazníkového šet-ření je realizováno kvalitativní šetření v podobě řízených rozhovorů s pedagogy. Veškěrá zjištění jsou použita při formulaci doporučení na zvýšení daňové gramot-nosti žáků ve městě Kroměříž. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se jak daní, tak gramotnosti. Stěžejní části je literární rešerše již rea-lizovaných domácích a zahraničních empirických studií. Praktická část se zaměřuje na vyhodnocení získaných dat. V závěrečné části práce jsou zjištění diskutována a komparována s empirickými studiemi jiných autorů. Následně jsou formulována vhodná doporučení, které mohou vést ke zvýšení daňové gramotnosti žáků ve městě Kroměříž.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of tax literacy among secondary school students in Kroměříž. The aim of the thesis is to identify their level of tax literacy by means of a quantitative survey. Based on the results of the question-naire survey, a qualitative investigation in the form of guided interviews with teachers is carried out. All the findings are used in the formulation of recommen-dations to increase the tax literacy of students in the Kroměříž. In the theoretical part of the thesis, basic concepts related to both taxes and literacy are defined. The core part is a literature search of already conducted domestic and foreign empirical studies. The practical part focuses on the evaluation of the obtained data. In the final part of the paper, the findings are discussed and compared with empirical studies by other authors. Subsequently, appropriate recommendations are formulated that may lead to an increase in tax literacy of students in the Kroměříž.
