Artificial deformation of human skull.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem umělých lebních deformací člověka. Jsou zde zmíněny kraniální deformace, jež vznikají patologickými procesy a kraniální deformace zapříčiněné uměle, avšak neúmyslně, nevhodnými podmínkami během růstu a vývoje dětské lebky. Uvedeny jsou geografické odlišnosti těchto deformací a jejich výskyt v různých obdobích lidských dějin, důraz je ale kladen především na typy a možné metody jejich vzniku. Práce popisuje důvody a příčiny vzniku deformací umělých, úmyslných, nebo také kulturních či etnických. Uvedeny jsou i případné zdravotní důsledky, zapříčiněné úmyslným deformováním krania. Cílem práce je podat ucelený přehled o této problematice.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with artificial cranial deformation of human. Skull defomations, which are produced by pathological processes and artificial cranial deformation as unintentional secondary effect by unsuitable conditions during growth and development of child skull are described. Geografical distinctions of these deformations and their occurrence in different periods of human history are mentioned. Emphasis is placed on various types of cranial deformations and their origin. This thesis is focused on artificial, intentional, cultural or ethnical origins of deformations. Health consequences of skull deformation are included. The aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive overview of this issue.
