Confidentiality and information from the perspective of nurses

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem a popisem problematiky povinné mlčenlivosti v kontextu s poskytováním zdravotních služeb. Jedním z cílů bakalářské práce je proto rozebrat pojmy (povinná mlčenlivost, etika, morálka, všeobecná sestra), právní úpravu ve zdravotnictví a možnosti sankce za porušení povinné mlčenlivosti. Dalším stěžejním cílem práce je výzkumná část. V prvním cíli se snažíme zjistit rozsah teoretických znalostí všeobecných sester v oblasti povinné mlčenlivosti. Ve druhém cíli zjišťujeme, zda všeobecné sestry s vysokoškolským vzděláním mají hlubší znalosti o povinné mlčenlivosti než všeobecné sestry se středoškolským vzděláním. V posledním cíli se snažíme zmapovat, zda si všeobecné sestry uvědomují možnosti sankce za porušení povinné mlčenlivosti. Pro výzkumnou část jsme zvolili kvantitativní výzkum, formou anonymního dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis and description of an issue of mandatory confidentiality in kontext of health services. Therefore, one of the goals of this thesis is to analyse term (medical secrecy, ethics, morality and nurse), legislativ in health care and the posibility of penalties for breach of a duty of confidentiality. Another key objektive is research. Firstly, we seek to determine the extent of theoretical knowledge of nurses in area of mandatory confidentiality. Secondly, we seek if nurses with university education have deeper understanding of the mandatory confidentiality than nurses with secondary education. Lastly, we are trying to map out whether nurses are aware of penalties for the breach of a duty of confidentiality. We chose quantitative research in the from of an anonymous questionnaire for the research part.
