CzechTrade Agency's focus in U.S.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Zaměření agentury CzechTrade na USA popisuje roli a podporu agentury CzechTrade při českém exportu do USA. Jejím cílem je zmapovat činnosti agentury CzechTrade prováděné pro podporu obchodu s USA a představit je. Pro její zpracování jsou využity metody analýzy, syntézy a deskripce. Práce je členěná do tří částí. První popisuje dějiny a současný stav agentury CzechTrade a obsahuje popis historie, exportní strategie, služeb, výsledků a zahraničních kanceláří. Druhá kapitola se věnuje aktivitám CzechTrade v USA. Je v ní obsažen popis ekonomik ČR a USA, jejich obchodního vztahu, obchodních příležitostí v USA a zahraničních kanceláří v USA. V třetí části jsou detailně představeny konkrétní případy podpory CzechTrade v USA za rok 2017 (zejména veletrhy), zajímavé obchodní případy a události a zhodnocení významu podpory agentury CzechTrade v roce 2017. Po pracování všech částí jsou zodpovězeny výzkumné otázky, jaké jsou na americkém trhu pro české vývozce doposud nevyužité příležitosti a jakou roli při jejich následném využití může hrát agentury CzechTrade.

Abstract:

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to focus on The CzechTrade Agency in U.S in order to map their activities that support trading with U.S. While the agency's headquarter is located in Prauge, many of their offices can be found around the globe. The main methods of analysis, synthesis and description, are used during this process. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part describes the history, current state of CzechTrade, export strategies, services, results, and foreign offices. The second part is focused on the activities of CzechTrade in the U.S. as it includes descriptions of Czech and US economies, their business relationships, the business opportunities in the U.S., and foreign office in Chicago. The third part presents particular examples of CzechTrade support in 2017 (especially fair trades), interesting business cases, and evaluation of the importance of CzechTrade support in 2017. Finally, the conclusion answers the research questions: Define the opportunities on American market which have not been seized yet, and describe the roles that CzechTrade could have in the process of utilizing such opportunities.
