Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem Category managementu. Popisuje, jak je důležitá spolupráce dodavatele a obchodníka, při vytváření strategických plánů pro jednotlivé sortimentní kategorie. V současné době je velký výběr všech produktů. Je tedy potřebné, aby obchodník znal trendy na celém trhu, potřeby svých zákazníků, celé sortimentní portfolio a dokázal odhadnout, jakým směrem se bude kategorie vyvíjet. K tomu slouží proces Category managementu. Definuje, jakým stylem je potřeba kategorie analyzovat. Tzn. je třeba kategorii definovat, určit její roli, strategii, taktiky a poté změny implementovat.V České republice není možné aplikovat celý proces, nicméně se obchodníci snaží vytvořit proces velmi podobný. Na jehož základě vybírají optimální sortiment, rozhodují o správném vystavení produktů a plánují promoční akce. Category management se dnes používá ve zkrácené formě. K plnému využití tohoto procesu, je potřeba zvýšení disciplíny a profesionality na straně dodavatele i obchodníka a větší dostupnost dat.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with Category Management. It describes how cooperation between supplier and seller is important at creation strategic plans for individual assortment of category. At present there is a very large selection of products. It is necessary to know the trends all over market, customer needs, complete assortment of portfolio. Moreover, the seller has to know the development of category. Therefore, there is Category managament. It defines how to analyze the category. That means that it is necessary to define a category, establish its status, strategy, tactic and implementation. In the Czech Republic it is not possible to apply the whole process, nevertheless, the sellers try to create a similar process. Under this process, the sellers choose optimal assortment, they make a decision on right display of products and they plan promotions. Category Management is used in a short form today. For full usage of this process we need to increase discipline and professionalism of supplier and seller and a larger availability of data.
