Flood control of the village Strašice

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce hodnotí možný význam a přínos výstavby vodního díla Amerika pro obec Strašice v kontextu efektivní protipovodňové ochrany a regionálního rozvoje. V práci je zpracována rešerše historických povodňových situací na Klabavě a obecný přehled možností v protipovodňové ochraně. Významnou součást této práce tvoří zpracování poznatků z vlastního terénního výzkumu v dané lokalitě a dotazníkového šetření mezi místními obyvateli. Na základě posouzení všech zjištěných aspektů a vlivů byl návrh na výstavbu VD Amerika zhodnocen negativně. V závěru jsou navržena alternativní řešení.

Abstract:

In this thesis we study possible impact of the Amerika water dam construction on the village Strašice in context of effective flood control and regional development. In the paper we use the knowledge about historical floods on Klabava river and we present a general list of flood control technologies. The important part of this thesis is based on own terrain research and questionnaire the local inhabitants. Based on the all gained knowledge about possible impact and affection on the region we deny the concept of the Amerika water dam to be build. At the end we propose alternative solutions.
