The problem of cyberbullying in the 1st grade of primary school

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na aktuální a stále narůstající fenomén kyberšikany mezi žáky na prvním stupni základních škol. Pomocí kvantitativního šetření jsme zkoumali rozdíly v percepci a zkušenostech s kyberšikanou mezi žáky, a to se zaměřením na otázky, jaké formy kyberšikany jsou mezi nimi nejrozšířenější a jaké preventivní programy jsou nejefektivnější. Kyberšikana, jakožto forma šikany prováděná prostřednictvím digitálních technologií, představuje významnou hrozbu pro psychické, emocionální a sociální zdraví dětí. Tato práce se podrobně věnuje identifikaci hlavních aspektů, důsledků a strategií pro prevenci a řešení kyberšikany s cílem poskytnout komplexní pohled na tento problém a předložit efektivní nástroje pro boj proti němu. V rámci praktické části práce bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření mezi dvěma cílovými skupinami, které odhalilo významné rozdíly v percepci a zkušenostech s kyberšikanou. Výsledky ukázaly, že výskyt kyberšikany je vysoký a má značný dopad na psychické a sociální zdraví žáků. Oběti kyberšikany často zažívají negativní emocionální stavy, jako jsou úzkost a deprese, což poukazuje na nutnost efektivních preventivních a intervenčních strategií. Práce zdůrazňuje zvýšenou potřebu prevence a osvěty mezi žáky, rodiči a pedagogy, aby byli všichni zapojení aktéři vybaveni nezbytnými informacemi a nástroji k rozpoznání a efektivnímu řešení případů kyberšikany. Dále se práce soustředí na význam technologických a vzdělávacích opatření v školním prostředí, které mohou přispět k bezpečnějšímu digitálnímu prostředí pro děti.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the current and increasingly prevalent phenomenon of cyberbullying among primary school students. Utilizing quantitative research, we examined differences in perceptions and experiences of cyberbullying among students, with an emphasis on identifying which forms of cyberbullying are most widespread among them and which preventive programs are most effective. Cyberbullying, as a form of bullying conducted through digital technologies, poses a significant threat to the psychological, emotional, and social health of children. This work delves into identifying the main aspects, consequences, and strategies for the prevention and resolution of cyberbullying, aiming to provide a comprehensive view of this issue and present effective tools for combating it. In the practical part of the thesis, a questionnaire survey was conducted among two target groups, revealing significant differences in perceptions and experiences with cyberbullying. The results indicated that the occurrence of cyberbullying is high and has a considerable impact on the psychological and social health of students. Victims of cyberbullying often experience negative emotional states, such as anxiety and depression, highlighting the necessity for effective preventive and intervention strategies. The thesis emphasizes the increased need for prevention and awareness among students, parents, and educators, to equip all involved actors with the necessary information and tools to recognize and effectively address instances of cyberbullying. Furthermore, the work focuses on the importance of technological and educational measures in the school setting, which can contribute to a safer digital environment for children.
