Heuristic analysis of website of example the company Siemens

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis analyzes websites in terms of usability. It consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, for a better understanding, it initially explains all important and related concepts. The actual usability, its importance and methods of approaching are explained soon afterwards. Subsequently, the thesis adheres specifically to heuristic analysis, its components and the various steps of its implementation. With each step, it determines heuristics, which constitute the basis of the practical part. It also briefly touches up on Siemens AG, a german website which is then analyzed and evaluated by four evaluators. First, it conducts heuristic analysis, the theoretical guidance for which is outlined in the first part. The leading analyst then analyzes, compares and summarizes the results of the analysis, and suggests further improvements of usability-related issues found within the analyzed websites.

Abstract:

Diese Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse der Websites in Bezug auf Usability. Sie besteht aus zwei Teilen. Im ersten, den theoretischen Teil werden zuerst alle zum besseren Verständnis wichtigen und zusammenhängenden Begriffe erklärt. Selbst die Usability, ihre Bedeutung und Methoden der Evaluation werden gleich danach nahegebracht. Dann widmet sich die Arbeit schon konkret der heuristischer Analyse, ihren Bestandteilen und einzelnen Durchführungsschritten. Im Rahmen einzelner Schritten stellt auch Heuristiken fest, welche die Grundlage des zweiten, praktischen Teils der Arbeit darstellen. Kurz wird auch die Gesellschaft Siemens AG vorgestellt, derer deutsche Website danach von vier Testpersonen untersucht und bewertet wird. Erstens wird die heuristische Analyse durchgeführt, für welche als Anleitung die theoretischen Vorgehensweisen im ersten Teil der Arbeit dienen. Folglich werden die Ergebnisse der Analyse von den Evaluationsleitern untersucht, vergleicht und zusammengefasst und bei einigen auf der untersuchten Website gefundenen Problemen Verbesserungen vorgeschlagen.
