Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zameriava na vnímanie používania tradičnej čínskej medicíny na liečbu Covidu-19 očami mladých dospelých na Taiwane. Krátko po vypuknutí globálnej pandémie Covid-19 v roku 2020 bol na Taiwane vyvinutý liek na báze tradičnej čínskej medicíny - NRICM101, ktorý sa stal rozšírene používaným ako na Taiwane, tak aj medzinárodne. Táto práca prináša teoretické pozadie k využitiu tradičnej čínskej medicíny na Taiwane, manažmentu pandémie a vývinu daného lieku a následne analyzuje postoje mladých Taiwancov k tejto forme liečby. Údaje boli získané a zozbierané prostredníctvom online dotazníka od marca do apríla 2023.

Abstract:

This thesis aims at examining the perception of the use of traditional Chinese medicine to treat Covid-19 through the eyes of Taiwanese young adults. Shortly after the outbreak of the global Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, a Chinese medicine formulation - NRICM101 was developed in Taiwan aiming to treat the symptoms of the virus, and soon became widely used both domestically and internationally. This thesis introduces a theoretical background on the use of Chinese medicine in Taiwan, the pandemic management and development of the formulation and subsequently it analyses the attitudes of Taiwanese young adults to this form of treatment. The data had been obtained and collected through an online questionnaire from March to April 2023.
