Local names in Chomutov region before the year 1945 and today

Abstract:

The main aim of my graduation theses is the list of all findable local names before the year 1945 and today and their comparing in term of onomastics. The theoretical part of my graduation theses is aimed at onomastics - its history and dividing it into the individual branches of onomastics. Toponomastics and local names are described more concretely in this part- their creating and some special types of local names. Then the history and structure of inhabitants in Chomutov region is also described for better understanding. The lists of all findable German and Czech local names before the year 1945 and today are in the practical part of my graduation theses. They are searched in term of history, etymology, geography and morphology. In conclusion I compare both time periods in term of giving names in both languages. There are described the changes of naming in both languages in the view of the fact that the structure of inhabitants in Chomutov was changed during the Second Word War.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je soupis všech zjistitelných pomístních jmen na Chomutovsku před rokem 1945 a v současnosti a jejich porovnání a výzkum z hlediska onomastiky. Teoretická část práce je věnována jazykovědnému oboru onomastice, jejímu postavení mezi ostatními společensko-vědními disciplínami, historickému vývoji, výzkumným metodám a dělení onomastiky na jednotlivé subdisciplíny. Konkrétněji je charakterizována toponomastika a pomístní jména jako jeden z předmětů zkoumání toponomastiky, jejich tvoření a některé speciální typy pomístních jmen. Pro srozumitelnost práce je také charakterizován region Chomutovska, jeho historický i současný vývoj a struktura obyvatelstva. V praktické části této práce následují seznamy všech zjištěných německých i českých pomístních jmen na Chomutovsku před rokem 1945 a v současnosti. Jednotlivá pomístní jména jsou zkoumána z hlediska historického, etymologického, morfologického a geografického. V závěru jsou porovnána obě časová období z hlediska pomístního pojmenovávání v obou jazycích. Jsou popsány změny v pojmenovávání, k nimž došlo ve zkoumaném regionu během historického vývoje, hlavně četnost pojmenovávání v obou jazycích a to vzhledem ke změně struktury obyvatelstva, související s událostmi 2.světové války.
