Regional Election 2008

Abstract:

Ve dnech 17. a 18. října 2008 se konaly v pořadí již třetí krajské volby. Má bakalářská práce o nich je rozdělena na několik částí. V první jsem se pokusila podat stručné informace o krajích, jejich vzniku, samosprávě, pravomoci a také o tom, jak v současné době vnímá kraje veřejnost. Další část popisuje samotný systém voleb do krajských zastupitelstev a také organizační záležitosti, které souvisejí se zdárným chodem těchto voleb. Nejobsáhlejší částí mé práce je pak samozřejmě samotná část o krajských volbách 2008. Nejdříve jsem si všímala kandidujících politických formací a jejich předvolebních kampaní a také předvolebních průzkumů. Pro větší přehlednost jsem je doplnila o přehledné grafy. Dále jsem představila volební programy stran, které dle mého měly šanci překročit požadovaných pět procent hlasů. Součástí této kapitoly jsou i výsledky voleb, volební účast a stručné srovnání výsledků voleb z roku 2008 s krajskými volbami z roku 2004. Nemohla jsem vynechat ani shrnutí vlivu celostátní politiky na volby do krajských zastupitelstev. V závěru své práce jsem krajské volby 2008 shrnula.

Abstract:

On 17th and 18th October 2008 took place already the third regional election. My bachelor work on them is divided into several parts. In the first one I attempted to give brief information about the regions, their origin, self-government, competence and also how the current situation is being perceived by the public. The next part describes the system of voting of Regional Assembly itself and also the organizational matters related to successful run of these elections. In the most extensive part of my work is naturally the part on the regional elections of 2008. Firstly I paid attention to those who were standing for election, political formations and their pre-election campaigns and also the pre-election researches. For a better clarity I added well-arranged graphs. Then I presented the voting plans of the political parties which according to my opinion had the chance to exceed the required 5  of popular votes. As a part of this chapter there are included the results of the votes as well, the voting poll and a brief comparison of the election results from 2008 with the regional elections from 2004. I must have not missed out the summarizing of the influence of the nationwide politics on the elections of the Regional Assembly. In the epilogue I summarized the regional elections of 2008.
