Comparison of the Pension System of the Czech Republic and Finland in 2004-2017

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je komparace penzijního systému České republiky a Finska v letech 2004-2017. Cílem práce je porovnání penzijních systémů zvolených zemí a navržení možných změn důchodového systému. Hlavní hypotézou práce je dlouhodobá neudržitelnost současných důchodových systémů vzhledem k demografickému vývoji. V práci jsou popsány zkoumané systémy z hlediska jejich reforem, nastavení a financování. Součástí práce jsou argumenty odborníků na Velkou důchodovou reformu v ČR v roce 2013. Oba penzijní systémy jsou porovnány se zaměřením na jejich odlišnosti. Práce dále navrhuje možné změny českého důchodového systému za účelem zajištění dlouhodobé udržitelnosti.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis is comparison of the pension system of the Czech Republic and Finland in 2004-2017. The aim of the thesis is to compare the pension systems of selected countries and to propose possible changes of the pension system. The main hypothesis of work is the long-term unsustainability of current pension systems due to demographic trend. The thesis describes the systems under review in terms of their reforms, adjustment and financing. Part of the thesis is the arguments of experts on the Large Pension Reform in the Czech Republic in 2013. Both pension systems are compared with the focus on their differences. The thesis further suggests possible changes to the Czech pension system in order to ensure long-term sustainability.
