An Analysis and a Proposal for Improvement of Public Relations in The Leisure Time Centre of Ostrava - Zábřeh

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce je zaměřena na současný stav public relations ve Středisku volného času Ostrava ? Zábřeh, které se specializuje na volnočasové aktivity pro děti a mládež. Důvodem volby tématu mé bakalářské práce, byla potřeba vylepšit dosavadní stav public relations v organizaci. Na základě analýzy public relations organizace, jsem zjistila hlavní příčiny nekvalitního PR. Pomocí výzkumů jsem mohla navrhnout vhodná doporučení, která by přispěla ke zkvalitnění public relations a tím ke zvýšení povědomí veřejnosti o organizaci. V teoretické části se zabývám problematikou public relations v širším kontextu, dále pak spoluprací organizací s PR agenturami a charakteristikou jednotlivých komunikačních nástrojů PR. V praktické části jsem využila hlavně sekundárních dat. Hlavním zdrojem těchto informací byla odborná literatura, internet a interní dokumentace organizace. Primární data jsem získala na základě strukturovaného interview s ředitelkou organizace, z dotazníkového šetření a analýzy interních dokumentů organizace. Ze získaných poznatků vyplývá, že má organizace nedostatky v provádění PR, které jsou v mé práci charakterizovány. Ty jsou pak doplněny mým vlastním doporučením, kterým by se organizace měla pokusit v budoucnu řídit a tím zlepšit své PR.

Abstract:

My bachelor?s thesis is focused on the current situation of public relations at Středisko volného času (Leisure centre) Ostrava ? Zábřeh, which is specialised in leisure time activities for children and youth. The reason why I chose this topic of my bachelor?s thesis was the need to improve the state of public relations in the organization. Based on an analysis of the organization?s public relations I identified the main reasons for the low-quality PR. Through my research I could propose suitable recommendations which would contribute to improve the public relations and, as a result, to increase the awareness of the organization among the general public. In the theoretical part I deal with the problems of public relations in a wider context. Furthermore, I deal with the cooperation of organizations with PR agencies and with the characteristic of individual PR communication tools. In the practical part I utilized mainly secondary data. The principal source of this information was professional literature, the Internet and the organization?s internal documentation. I obtained the primary data through a structured interview with the director of the organization, through a questionnaire survey and through an analysis of the organization?s internal documents. The information that I obtained show that the organization has deficiencies in carrying out public relations, and these deficiencies are characterized in my thesis. Finally, I present my own recommendation which the organization should try to follow in the future to improve its public relations.
