Air traffic and position of the company Air Astana on the Kazakh aviation market

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je seznámit čtenáře s historii letecké dopravy, od jejího počátku až po současný stav v otázce civilní letecké infrastruktury. Práce obsahuje dvě části. První část je teoretická, pomocí odborné literatury popsány počátky letecké dopravy v Kazašské republice a ve světě, takže popsány prvky letecké infrastruktury a základní členění leteckých společností. Součástí práce je i zmínka o mezinárodních leteckých organizacích, stanovujících mezinárodní normy a standardy ohledně bezpečnosti, efektivnosti a včasnosti letů. Teoretická část slouží jako podklad pro zpracování částí praktické. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu největší letecké společnosti Kazašské republiky Air Astana, a.s. Popsána historie vzniku společnosti, charakteristika letadlové flotily, stav logistických procesů a unikátní vzdělávací program pro piloty. Pomocí analýzy finančních a provozních výkazů za roky 2009- 2013, vznikla možnost popsaní hlavní příčiny stabilního rozvoje společnosti Air Astana a konkurenceschopnosti dopravce na leteckém trhu nejen v Kazašské republice, ale i ve světě.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issues of the history of aviation from its beginning to the present situation in the field of civil aviation infrastructure. The work consists of two parts. The first part is the theoretical part, focused on describing historical background of aviation in Kazakhstan Republic and in the world with the help of scientific literature. The work also contains information about International aviation organizations establishing international norms and standards regarding to safety, effectiveness and performance of flights in time. The theoretical part serves as a background for the practical part. The practical part is focused on analysis of the largest airline of Kazakhstan Republic, Air Astana, description of the history of the company, the characteristics of fleets, the chain of logistic processes and the unique educational programme for pilots. According to the financial analysis and operating statements for 2009- 2013, there was possibility of describing the main reasons of the stable development of Air Astana and competitiveness in the aerospace market, not only in Kazakhstan Republic, but also in the world.
