Religious processions and pilgrimages in Dolní Bojanovice

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce popisuje církevní průvody a poutě v Dolních Bojanovicích. Zabývá se především náboženskými průvody na Křížovou cestu, do polí, od kapliček, na Boží Tělo a Božské Srdce, dále pak poutěmi na Svatý Hostýn a do Žarošic. Také se zde okrajově zmiňuje o průvodech a poutích již zaniklých. V této práci je popsaná obecná terminologie, průběh a vývoj těchto fenoménů od jejich počátku až do současnosti. V neposlední řadě zachycuje význam průvodů a poutí z pohledu jak zúčastněných věřících, tak i nevěřících.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis describes religious processions and pilgrimages in Dolni Bojanovice. The work mainly deals with religious processions such as the Way of the Cross, to the fields, from the chapels, the Corpus Christi and the Sacred Heart, then pilgrimages to Svaty Hostyn and Zarosice. The thesis also mentions processions and pilgrimages that have already vanished. The general terminology is described as well as the progress and development of these phenomena from their beginning to the present. Last but not least, the thesis captures the significance of processions and pilgrimages from the perspective of both participating believers and unbelievers.
