A Child Hero in the Novels of Victorian Writers
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the portrayal of children in the works of two Victorian writers, Charles Dickens and George Eliot. It tries to compare and contrast the personalities and development of the child characters in the novels Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, The Mill on the Floss and Silas Marner as well as on the influences and backgrounds that intervene in their growing up.
