Anotácia:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na vývoj narativních technik Katherine Mansfieldové, který souvisí s její pozicí v modernistickým a impresionistickém literárním hnutí a výjimečným vztahem povídek Mansfieldové a A. P. Čechova. Kromě vývoje narativních technik tato práce pojednává také o některých specifických vlastnostech jejího pojetí ženské perspektivy.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the development of some of Katherine Mansfield's chief narrative techniques as employed in her short stories throughout her literary career. It follows Mansfield as a part of the Modernist and Impressionist literary movements, her relation to A. P. Chekhov, and the narrative and stylistic techniques such affiliation bring upon. Furthermore, the thesis strives to picture the singularity of Mansfield's treatment of her characters' perspective.
