MODELING, CONTROL AND PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION OF SALIENT POLE SYNCHRONOUS MOTORS

Abstract:

Tato disertační práce se zabývá problematikou modelování, řízení a identifikace parametrů synchronních strojů s vyniklými póly. Zkoumán je synchronní motor s vnitřními permanentními magnety na rotoru (IPMSM) a klasický synchronní motor s vinutým rotorem s vyjádřenými póly (WRSM). V první části je popsána motivace k výzkumu dané problematiky a je uveden současný stav poznání ve zkoumaných oblastech. Ve druhé kapitole jsou popsány matematické modely motoru a to jak ve stojících fázových souřadnicích a, b, c tak v rotujících d, q, ty jsou spjaty s polohou rotoru. Ve třetí kapitole jsou publikovány testované a navržené metody měření parametrů pro uvedené matematické modely. Hlavní pozornost je upřena k měření indukčnosti. Pro modely jak ve fázových tak v rotorových souřadnicích jsou použity přístupy s rotujícím a stojícím rotorem. Testované metody pro přesné určení indukčnosti využívají buď speciálních laboratorních zdrojů, nebo speciálního režimu provozu, kdy je matematický model celého měření redukován na problém nižšího řádu. Dále v kapitole čtvrté je uveden popis a návrh optimálního řízení jak pro WRSM tak pro IPMSM. Dané optimum je chápáno ve smyslu maximalizovat moment motoru stroje. Je provedena rozvaha nad momentovou rovnicí z pohledu všech možných pracovních bodů s tím, že v oblasti konstantního momentu je omezení pouze z pohledu maximálních proudů, naproti tomu v oblasti odbuzování je nutné zajistit i nutné odbuzení stroje. Pro WRSM optimální řízení vhodně rozvažuje nabuzení stroje pomocí rotorového a statorového proudu pro dosažení maximálního momentu. U IPMSM záporný proud v ose d zajišťuje přírůstek tzv. reluktanční složky momentu, která je využita na zvýšení momentu stroje vzhledem k vyšší statorové indukčnosti Lsq oproti Lsd. Pátá kapitola se z velké části věnuje bezsenzorovým metodám na principu detekce anizotro-pie stroje. Tyto metody jsou založeny na injektování testovacího signálu do rotorového (WRSM) nebo statorového vinutí (IPMSM), který způsobí proudovou odezvu statoru obsahující informaci o poloze rotoru a rotorové rychlosti. Pro WRSM je aplikována jednoduchá metoda na estimaci počáteční polohy rotoru. Na jejím teoretickém základu je postaveno poté celé bezsenzorové řízení s vyhodnocením pomocí fázového závěsu (PLL) nebo Kalmanovým filtrem. U IPMSM je implementován algoritmus tzv. pulzujících injektáží s obdélníkovým tvarem testovacího signálu, kde je ukázán vliv zatěžování motoru, který může nepříznivě ovlivnit výsledek estimace. V poslední části kapitoly je představen bezsenzorový estimátor s redukovaným Kalmanovým filtrem založeným na matematickém modelu ve fázových souřadnicích. Toto řešení umožňuje zahrnout nesymetrie a harmonické magnetického obvodu stroje pro zpřesnění estimace polohy natočení rotoru. Veškeré navržené a odsimulované algoritmy jsou podrobeny ověřovacím testům na postaveném laboratorním prototypu.

Abstract:

The doctoral thesis features the issue of modeling, control and parameter identification of the salient pole synchronous motors. The synchronous motor with permanent magnets on the rotor (IPMSM) and classical synchronous motor with wound salient pole rotor (WRSM) are investigated. The first section describes the motivation to the research of the issue and the current state of knowledge in the surveyed areas is given. The second chapter describes the mathematical models of the motors in a, b, c stationary phase coordinates and d, q rotating coordinates, which are linked with the position of the rotor. In the third chapter, the proposed methods for measuring of the parameters of specified mathematical models are published and tested. The main focus is paid to an inductance measure-ment. For the models in both coordinates, the approaches with rotating and stationary rotor are used. Test methods for the exact inductance determining utilize special laboratory sources or spe-cial mode of motor operation, which reduces the measurement problem to a lower order. Furthermore in the fourth chapter, the design of an optimal control for WRSM and IPMSM is described. The optimum is understood in the sense of the torque maximizing. It is given by a balance of the torque equation in terms of all possible operating points. There is the current limitation in the constant torque range and additionaly the field weakening necessity at the higher speeds. For WRSM, the optimum is ensured by appropriate delivering of the rotor and stator currents for maximum torque. For IPMSM, the negative d-axis current increment ensures the reluctance torque component, which is used to increase the torque due to higher stator inductance Lsq than Lsd. The fifth chapter is mainly devoted to methods of anisotropy detecting. These methods are based on injecting of a test signal into the rotor (WRSM) or stator winding (IPMSM) which causes the stator current response containing information about the rotor position and rotor speed. For WRSM, the simple method is applied to the estimation of the initial position of the rotor. At its theoretical base, the full sensorless control with evaluation through a phase-locked loop (PLL) or Kalman filter is built. For IPMSM, the algorithm of pulsatile injection is implemented with a rectan-gular shape of the test signal, which stator response shows the influence of load on the motor, which may adversely affect the results of the estimation. The last part of the chapter features reduced-order Kalman filter in phase coordinates, which enables to assume all asymmetries and harmonics of magnetic circuit of the machine for improvement of accuracy of rotor position esti-mation. All designed and simulated algorithms are subjected to verification tests on built laboratory prototype.
