Data analysis for building energy management

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je otestovat vybrané metody pro analýzu archivních dat chytrých budov. Práce se zaměřuje na základní přístupy analýzy, jako je klasifikace, regrese, detekce anomálií, shluková analýza a analýza časových řad. Jsou zde popsány různé algoritmy pro tyto metody a jejich potenciální úskalí při aplikaci. Práce se zejména věnuje metodám pro vyhledávání vzorců chování, konkrétně metodám symbolic aggregate approximation a shlukování metodou nejbližších středů. V praktické části jsou poté tyto metody aplikovány na archivní data měření spotřeby energie rodinného domu. Data jsou před otestováním metod podrobena explorativní analýze a následně je provedena analýza pomocí zmíněných metod s různými parametry.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to test selected methods for analyzing archival data from smart buildings. The thesis focuses on fundamental approaches to analysis, such as classification, regression, anomaly detection, cluster analysis, and time series analysis. Various algorithms for these methods and their potential challenges in application are described. The thesis particularly addresses methods for discovering behavioral patterns, specifically symbolic aggregate approximation and k-means. In the practical part, these selected methods are applied to archival data on energy consumption in a residential house. Prior to testing the methods, the data undergo exploratory data analysis, followed by analysis using the mentioned methods with different parameters.
