Tato práce zkoumá, jak David Croft a spoluautoři staví děj těchto dvou sitkomů okolo dvou válečných organizací, britské Domobrany a Francouzského odporu, a jak čerpají humor z těchto námětů. Abstract:
This Bachelor's Diploma Thesis focuses on comical elements of David Croft’s situation comedies, Dad’s Army and ‘Allo ‘Allo!. The thesis explores how David Croft and his cowriters build up the plots of the two sitcoms around two World War II organizations, the British Home Guard and the French Resistance, and how they derive comedy from this subject.
