V této práci jsem se soustředím na upírský film a především na postavu upíra. Na začátku jsem se pokouším vymezit horor jako žánr. Zde zmiňuji také jedno z rozdělení dle základních rovin žánru. V následujících kapitolách se zaměřuji na literární předchůdce upírského filmu a také na upírské prvotiny na filmovém plátně. S tímto také souvisí znaky upírského příběhu popsané v další kapitole. Abstract:
In my work I focus on the vampire movie, and especially on the character of the vampire. At the beginning I try to define a horror as a genre. Here I mention one of the fundamental planes of this genre. In the following chapters I focus on the literary forerunner of the vampire film and also on the vampiric debut.
