The influence of sleep deprivation on empathy.

Abstract:

Tato práce je návrhem výzkumného projektu pro studium vztahu zrcadlového systému a empatie, a to na základě vlivu spánkové deprivace na danou strukturu a konstrukt. V teoretické části je popsán současný stav poznání v oblasti spánkové deprivace, empatie a zrcadlového systému. Součástí práce je i výpis metod, kterými jsou dané jevy a konstrukty měřeny, a to z důvodu možnosti výzkumný projekt dále rozšiřovat či měnit výběr nástrojů měření. Teoretická část taktéž obsahuje výběr několika hlavních výzkumů, na základě jejichž výsledků byly navrženy hypotézy. Metodologická část pak popisuje návrh designu výzkumu, výzkumný soubor, návrh výběru metod a následné statistické analýzy pro ověření hypotéz. Závěrečná diskuze se zabývá limity návrhu a dalším směřováním výzkumu.

Abstract:

This thesis is a proposal of a research project for further study of a relationship between mirror neuron system and empathy. The research is based on a hypothesis of an influence of sleep deprivation on the mirror neuron system and this construct. In the theoretical part is described up to date research in sleep deprivation, empathy and mirror neuron system. The thesis also includes overview of methods used for measurements of these phenomenon and constructs in order to extend the research project in future or in order to change the measurement tools. The theoretical part also includes selection of the few most important researches about mirror neuron system that were used for stating the objectives of this proposal. Methodology describes proposal of a research design, research sample, methods and statistical analysis that could be used for verifying hypothesis. Discussion includes limitation of the research proposal and further development of the research.
