Tématem této bakalářské práce je osobnost skladatele, vinaře, poštmistra a mělnického radního Josefa Valenty (1804-1881). Práce podává přehled o jeho životě a hudební tvorbě, kterou zasazuje do kontextu tehdejšího hudebního prostředí v Mělníku. The theme of this bachelor thesis is the personality of composer, winemaker, postmaster and Mělník councillor Josef Valenta (1804-1881). The work gives an overview of his life and musical work in the context of then musical ambience in Mělník.
