Tato práce se zabývá vypravěčskými postupy Humberta a Jaye, kteří jsou vypravěči a zároveň hlavními hrdiny románů Lolita (1959), od Vladimira Nabobova, a Intimacy (1998), od Hanifa Kureishiho. Práce popisuje schopnost vypravěčů vzbudit ve čtenářích pocity porozumění, ačkoliv podpory se ani Humbert, ani Jay z jejich strany nedočkají. This work deals with the narrative techniques of Humbert and Jay who are the narrators as well as the main characters of Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita (1959) and Hanif Kureishi’s novel Intimacy (1998), respectively.
