The future of road freight transport

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce má za cíl podat komplexní přehled o aktuální situaci v nákladní silniční dopravě a o jejím budoucím vývoji. V teoretické části shrnuje současný stav nákladní silniční dopravy. Detailně je rozebráno odvětví dopravy, bezpečnost, dopravní infrastruktura a ekologická stránka věci. Všechny zmíněné oblasti v teoretické části čekají v budoucnu velké změny, které budou zásadně měnit strukturu těchto oblastí. Praktická část popisuje konkrétní změny na úrovni digitalizace a automatizace v nákladní silniční dopravě. V kapitole digitalizace jsou popsány jak proběhlé změny, tak aktuální trendy a změny v budoucnu plánované. Práci završuje kapitola o autonomních vozidlech, která se detailně zabývá procesem automatizace a jejím aktuálním vývojem ve světe. V závěru jsou uvedené konkrétní modely autonomních nákladních vozidel, které již automobilky představily. Nechybí jejich charakteristiky, nynější a budoucí využití a vzájemné srovnání.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to give a comprehensive overview of the current situation in road freight transport and its future results. The theoretical part summarizes the current state of road freight transport. The transport, security, transport infrastructure and environmental aspects are discussed in detail. All the mentioned areas in the theoretical parts are expected to undergo major changes in the future, which will fundamentally affect the structure of these areas. The practical part describes specific changes on the level of digitization and automation in road freight transport. As part of the digitization, both the changes and current trends and changes planned in the future are described. The work is completed by the chapter on autonomous vehicles, which are processed in detail by automation and own actual development in the world. In the conclusion are given specific models of autonomous trucks, which are already carmakers. Let their properties, present and future use and mutual comparison.
