Psychological stress of nurses taking care of cancer patients

Abstract:

Pokud má být dosaženo lidsky kultivované péče o onkologicky nemocné, nesmí být pozornost ve zdravotnických zařízeních omezena pouze na potřeby pacientů, ale musí se zaměřit také na psychický stav ošetřujících. Cílem této práce je zjistit psychickou zátěž u onkologických sester. Byly stanoveny tyto dílčí cíle: Zjistit vnímání psychické zátěže u sester, které pečují o onkologicky nemocné. Zjistit, zda existuje rozdíl mezi psychickou zátěží u onkologických sester a populační normou. Zjistit, zda existuje rozdíl ve vnímání psychické zátěže u onkologických sester na jednotlivých pracovištích. Zjistit, zda se vnímání psychické zátěže u onkologických sester liší dle demografických faktorů. Zjistit, zda existuje závislost mezi vnímáním psychické zátěže a mírou vyhoření u onkologických sester. Identifikovat situace, které onkologické sestry považují za nejvíce stresující. Zmapovat, jakým způsobem se onkologické sestry s psychickou zátěží nejčastěji vyrovnávají.

Abstract:

To be achieved the sophisticated human care for the cancer patiens, our attention may not be limited only to the patients' needs in health facilities but it must be also focused on the mental state of nursing staff. The aim of this work was to detect the mental stress of oncology nurses. The following targets were determined: To find perceptions of mental stress by nurses who care for cancor patients. To determine whether there is a difference between the mental stress of oncology nurses and the mental stress of the population norm. To determine whether there is a difference in the perception of mental stress of oncology nurses at individual workplace. To determine whether the perception of mental stress of oncology nurses varies according to demographic factors. To determine whether there is a correlation between the perception of stress and burnout levels of oncology nurses. Identify situations that oncology nurses cosidered the most stressful. To map how oncology nurses usually cope with mental stress.
