Analysis of Forensic Readiness in KYPO4INDUSTRY Cybersecurity Exercise

Abstract:

Komplexita digitální forenzní analýzy se stále zvyšuje, a tuto situaci lze řešit pomocí přístupu nazývaného "forenzní připravenost", který spočívá v systematické přípravě na výskyt incidentu. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na rozšíření stávajících kybernetických cvičení v kontextu platformy KYPO4INDUSTRY o forenzní připravenost. V rámci práce je analyzována již existující hra. Díky analýze jsou nalezeny prvky zajišťující forenzní připravenost, které jsou následně implementovány a vyhodnoceny v nově vytvořené hře pro dva hráče. Cílem této hry je vzdělávat hráče o konceptu forenzní připravenosti. Během testování hra obdržela pozitivní zpětnou vazbu.

Abstract:

The complexity of digital forensic analysis is becoming increasingly more challenging. The forensic readiness approach solves this problem with systematic preparation for an incident to happen. This thesis focuses on the forensic readiness extension of existing cybersecurity exercises in the context of the KYPO4INDUSTRY platform. The existing game is analysed, and the resulting forensic-ready controls are implemented and evaluated in the newly created game for two players. This game aims to educate the players about the forensic readiness concept. During the testing, it received positive feedback.
