2013 Elections to the Chamber of Deputies in the press with considerance of emotionality

Abstract:

As a theme of this thesis I have chosen the „2013 Elections to the Chamber of Deputies in the press with considerance of emotionality.“. My thesis deals with the language interpretation of emotionality and the way it affects the reader himself, it mainly focuses on the language analysis of particular articles, from both online and printed sources. For my research I have chosen news from internet newspaper spiegel.de, mainly from the section which deals with the field of politics. Journalism plays a huge role in our lives. Our whole modern society is strongly influenced by massmedia and almost everyone uses those as a primary source of finding out the newest information. The aim of my research was to find and identify those phrases and expressions that tend to raise emotions and directly affect the emotional state of the reader. I analyzed some of the chosen articles from the time of the biggest pre-election fights. The outcome clearly stated that there are various language means at our disposal that can raise both positive and negative emotions.

Abstract:

Téma této diplomové práce zní „Volby do Poslaneckého sněmu 2013 v tisku s ohledem na emocionalitu.” Diplomová práce se zabývá jazykovým ztvárněním emocionality a jejím působením na čtenáře samotného, zaměřuje se na jazykovou analýzu jednotlivých internetových / novinářských článků. Pro své bádání jsem si zvolila zprávy z oblasti politiky z internetových novin spiegel.de. Publicistika hraje v našem životě velkou roli. Společnost dnešní doby je silně ovlivněna masmédii, mnoho lidí využívá média jako zdroj pro nalezení nejnovějších informací. Cílem mého snažení bylo ve vybraných článcích v době největšího předvolebního boje vyhledat výrazy a slovní spojení, které u čtenáře vzbuzují emoce. Jak se ukázalo, k vyvolání pozitivních či negativních emocí máme k dispozici různé jazykové prostředky.
