The impact of home cared, terminally illness patient on his close relatives

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaký dopad na nejbližší příbuzné má ošetřování terminálně nemocného v domácí péči. V teoretické části jsme se zabývali umíráním, smrtí a specifiky péče o terminálně nemocné v domácím prostředí. Také nás zajímaly role a potřeby rodiny v péči o terminálně nemocného. Za metodou průzkumu jsme zvolili kvalitativní dotazování formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Zajímalo nás, jaké potřeby mají pečující rodiny, a důvody, které je vedly k rozhodnutí pečovat o své terminálně nemocné v domácím prostředí. Věříme, že zjištěné poznatky mohou lépe pochopit problematiku umírání v domácím prostředí, a zkvalitnit tak poskytování ošetřovatelské péče tamtéž. Umírání doma je v naší republice spíše ojedinělým fenoménem, ne každý se může k této alternativě uchýlit, ať už z důvodů nefunkčního rodinného zázemí, nevyhovujících finančních podmínek nebo problematické dostupnosti dalších poskytovatelů péče. Důležitým aspektem práce je i pomoc rodinám v jejich péči s terminálně nemocným ? rádi bychom poukázali na to, jak těmto lidem těžké chvíle ulehčit a pomoci jim, aby se jejich utrpení stalo snesitelnějším.

Abstract:

The aim of the study was to determine the impact for relatives of treating terminally ill in home care. In the theoretical part we dealt with dying, death and specifics of care for terminally ill at home. We were also interested in the role and needs of families in caring for terminally ill. As the survey method, we chose qualitative interviewing through semi-structured interview. We wondered what the needs of caring family are, and the reasons that led to the decision to care for their terminally ill at home. We believe that the findings may provide better understanding of dying in a home environment and thus improve the quality of nursing care too. Dying at home is in our country rather unique phenomenon, not everyone can resort to this alternative, whether due to a dysfunctional family background, financial conditions or the availability of other health care providers. Another important aspect is a help to families with their care for terminally ill - we would like to point out how we could ease the hard time of these people and help them to make their suffering more bearable.
