Bulbous and tuberous plants and their use in landscape architecture

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Cibulnaté a hlíznaté rostliny a jejich použití v objektech ZAKA“ se zabývá uplatněním této skupiny rostlin jak v historii, tak v současnosti a věnuje se i aktuálním trendům a novým technologiím zakládání vegetačních prvků s nimi. Výsledková část obsahuje zhodnocení dostupného sortimentu cibulnatých a hlíznatých rostlin v České republice a jejich význam na trhu s okrasnými rostlinami. Součástí diplomové práce je také inventarizace cibulnatých a hlíznatých rostlin v kampusu Zahradnické fakulty Mendelovy univerzity v Brně. Z jejích výsledků vychází návrh výsadeb cibulnatých a hlíznatých rostlin ve vybraných objektech kampusu v použití s různými pěstitelskými skupinami rostlin (dvouletkami, trvalkami/travinami, dřevinami, zplanění v trávníku).

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „Bulbous and tuberous plants and their use in landscape architecture“ deals with the use of this group of plants in history as well as in the present. The diploma thesis focuses also on actual trends and new technologies of planting. The result section contains an evaluation of the available assortment of bulbous and tuberous plants in the Czech Republic and their part of ornamental plants market. Diploma thesis contains inventory of bulbous and tuberous plants in the campus of Faculty of Horticulture of Mendel University in Brno. Designed scheme of planting is based on the results of inventory and shows combinations of bulbous and tuberous plants with other groups of ornamental plants (biennials, perennials/ornamental grasses, tree species, lawns).
