The Analysis of Learning Exercises in Selected Math Textbooks for Primary School.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá srovnáním učebnic matematiky pro 4. ročník ZŠ třech vybraných nakladatelství, které jsou posuzovány na základě četnosti zastoupení různých typů učebních úloh podle taxonomie D. Tollingerové. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vymezení jednotlivých pojmů vztahujících se k danému tématu. Vysvětluje pojem myšlení a myšlenkové operace, věnuje se klasifikaci učebních úloh, jejich uspořádání z hlediska stoupající náročnosti poznávacích operací, dále se zabývá funkcemi a strukturou učebnice. Empirická část vymezuje cíle a otázky výzkumu, metodologii zkoumání a nabízí konkrétní analýzu učebních úloh učebnic z nakladatelství Taktik, Fraus a SPN na základě náročnosti kognitivních operací nutných k jejich řešení. Zpracovává statistické údaje, které jsou následně použity k vyhodnocení výsledků a vyjádření závěru porovnání poznávací náročnosti úloh a pestrosti souboru učebních úloh jednotlivých nakladatelství. Práce by měla pomoci učitelům zorientovat se v problematice učebních úloh a posuzování učebních úloh v učebnicích a posloužit jim při výběru učebnic z široké nabídky, kterou trh v dnešní době nabízí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the comparison of mathematics textbooks for the 4th year of primary schools from the three selected publishers, which are assessed on the basis of the frequency of the representation of different types of learning tasks (exercises) according to D. Tollinger's taxonomy. The theoretical part focuses on defining the various concepts related to the topic. It explains the concept of thinking and mental processes, discusses the classification of learning tasks, their arrangement in terms of the increasing complexity of cognitive operations; it further discusses the functions and structure of textbooks. The empirical part defines the objectives, the research issues and the methodology of the inquiry. It offers a concrete analysis of teaching tasks in textbooks from Taktik, Fraus and SPN publishers on the basis of nature of cognitive operations that are necessary to their solution. It processes statistical data, which are then used to evaluate the results and to formulate a conclusion of the compared cognitive performance of tasks and the variety of learning tasks set by individual publishers. The thesis should help teachers understand the problems of learning tasks and help them assess the exercises in textbooks. It should serve them in their selection of the appropriate textbooks from a wide variety of books currently offered in the textbook market.
