The concept of freedom in Japanese musical artists

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on a comparison of personal, creative freedom as well as freedom of expression of selected musical artists of Japanese popular music. These types of freedom are examined through scandals, lyrics and music videos. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part, the concept of freedom and the concept of Japanese talent agencies, also called as jimusho, are introduced. The next part is more focused on Japanese celebrities called aidoru. The research is focused on boy bands and these bands are also introduced in the second part of the thesis. In the last part, the displays of freedom are compared between aidoru and other artists. In the conclusion of the thesis, there is an overlook of the whole thesis as well as results of the comparison.

Abstract:

Práca sa zaoberá porovnaním osobnej, tvorivej slobody a slobody prejavu u vybraných interpretov japonskej populárnej hudby. Tieto druhy slobôd sú skúmané cez škandály, hudobné texty a videoklipy. Práca má tri časti. V prvej časti sú predstavené dva koncepty a to koncept slobody a koncept japonských talentových agentúr džimušo. V ďalšej časti práce sú bližšie popísané japonské celebrity označované ako aidoru. Práca je zameraná na mužské hudobné skupiny a vybraní interpreti sú tiež predstavení v druhej časti práce. V poslednej časti porovnávam prejavy slobôd u interpretov aidoru a interpretov, ktorí sa do tejto kategórie nezaraďujú. V závere práce je zhrnuté, ako práca vyzerá, výsledky a vyhodnotenie práce.
