Regulation of medicinal products with a focus on alternative medicine

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem regulace léčivých přípravků v České republice se zaměřením na alternativní medicínu. Práce je rozvržena do 5 kapitol. První kapitola definuje léčivý přípravek z právního pohledu a poskytuje ucelený přehled o tom, co léčivým přípravkem je a co není, zejména pomocí komparace s dalšími výrobky se zdravotními účinky. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na regulaci alternativní medicíny obecně a její součástí je i regulace tradičních rostlinných léčivých přípravků. Třetí kapitola pojednává o regulaci homeopatie a homeopatik jako jediných léčivých přípravcích používaných v alternativní medicíně. Předposlední kapitola popisuje proces registrace léčiv. Závěrečná kapitola je věnována dvěma výzkumným šetřením - mezi lékaři a mezi spotřebiteli.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of regulation of medicinal products in the Czech Republic with a focus on alternative medicine. The thesis is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapter defines the medicinal product from a legal point of view and provides a comprehensive overview of what the medicinal product is and what is not, in particular by comparing it with other products with the impact on health. The second chapter is focused on the regulation of alternative medicine in general and its part is also the regulation of traditional herbal medicinal products. The third chapter deals with the regulation of homeopathy and homeopathics as the only medicines used in alternative medicine. The penultimate chapter describes the medicinal products registration process. The final chapter is devoted to two researches - the first research is focused on doctors and the second is focused on consumers.
