Práce se zaměřuje na alternativní medicínu ? především shiatsu - a její poměrně rychlý a velký rozmach, s čehož se stává sociální fenomén. Práce je zaměřena na lokalitu města Pardubic a terapeuty zde působící. V úvodu práce jsou nastíněna myšlenková východiska, ze kterých studentka vychází.
