Needs of the Patient after Endovascular Performance after a Stroke

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je metodou případové studie - kazuistiky popsat potřeby pacienta přijatého do zdravotnického zařízení, podstupujícího endovaskulárním výkon po cévní mozkové příhodě. Teoretická část je zaměřena na cévní mozkovou příhodu, její vznik, dělení, terapii včetně endovaskulárním terapie, specifika ošetřovatelské péče a potřeby pacienta s cévní mozkovou příhodou. Metodikou praktické části bakalářské práce je případová studie (kazuistika), zařazená mezi metody kvalitativního průzkumu. Kazuistika je rozdělena na anamnézu a katamnézu, obsahující údaje z pobytu ve zdravotním zařízení na jednotce intenzivní péče. Informace pro případovou studii byly získávány ze zdravotní dokumentace, nestrukturovanými rozhovory s pacientem, jeho pozorováním a rozhovory s rodinnými příslušníky. Ve výsledku kazuistika analyzuje poskytnutou ošetřovatelskou péči o pacienta přijatého do zdravotnického zařízení s cévní mozkovou příhodou podstupujícího endovaskulárním výkon. Cévní mozková příhoda je život ohrožující, a mnohdy i přes včasnou léčbu je prognóza onemocnění nepříznivá a pacient se potýká doživotně s těžkými trvalými následky, velmi nepříznivě ovlivňující kvalitu života. Pro pacienta je náročná v mnoha pohledech a následná péče často zdlouhavá. Zásadní význam v poskytování ošetřovatelské péče, prevenci vzniku komplikací a v neposlední řadě saturování potřeb pacienta má multioborová, týmová, komplexní spolupráce zdravotníků a spolupráce s rodinnými příslušníky.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is the method of case study - case report to describe the needs of a patient admitted to a medical facility, undergoing endovascular surgery after a stroke. The theoretical part is focused on stroke, its origin, division, therapy including endovascular therapy, specifics of nursing care and the needs of a stroke patient. The methodology of the practical part of the bachelor thesis is a case study (case study), included among the methods of qualitative research. The case report is divided into anamnesis and catamnesis, containing data from the stay in a medical institution in the intensive care unit. Information for the case study was obtained from medical records, unstructured interviews with the patient, his observations and interviews with family members. As a result, the case report analyzes the provided nursing care for a patient admitted to a medical facility with a stroke undergoing endovascular performance. Stroke is life-threatening, and often, despite timely treatment, the prognosis of the disease is unfavorable and the patient faces severe permanent consequences for life, very adversely affecting the quality of life. It is demanding for the patient in many ways and the follow-up care is often lengthy. Multidisciplinary, team, comprehensive cooperation of health professionals and cooperation with family members is essential in providing nursing care, preventing complications and, last but not least, saturating the patient's needs.
