Evaluation of normothermia in surgical procedures at the otorhinolaryngological workplace

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá sledováním změn normotermie u pacientů podstupujících operační výkon na otorinolaryngologickém pracovišti a na centrálních operačních sálech. Teoretická část obsahuje literární rešerši aktuálních poznatků, poskytující teoretická východiska pro praktickou část. Zabývá se pojmy z oblasti fyziologie a patofyziologie termoregulace a uvádí hlavní vyšetřovací metody pro zhodnocení tělesné teploty. Charakterizuje anestezii, možnosti sledování a regulaci tělesné teploty, a to během celkové anestezie a během perioperačního i pooperačního období. Praktická část diplomové práce se zabývá zpracováním dat získaných pomocí záznamového archu vlastní konstrukce a zdravotnické dokumentace vybraných pacientů a také pomocí standardů daného pracoviště krajského typu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with monitoring changes of normothermia in patients undergoing surgery in an otorhinolaryngological department and in central operating theatres. The theoretical part includes research of current literature on the issue, thus providing theoretical background for the research part. It focuses on terms from the field of physiology and pathophysiology of thermoregulation and features key examination methods in body temperature assessment. The theoretical part of the thesis also characterizes anaesthesia, options available to monitor and control body temperature, both in the course of general anaesthesia and within the perioperative and postoperative periods. The research part of the thesis processes data collected in record sheets which had been designed by the author of the thesis. The data were also acquired from medical documentation of specific patients and standard policies of the regional department.
