Factors affecting biodiversity of grasslands

Abstract:

Tato práce si kladla za cíl shromáždit informace o možných faktorech ovlivňující druhovou diverzitu rostlin trvalých travních porostů. Sumarizuje vlivy abiotických a biotických fakto-rů, ale především vlivy pratotechnických zásahů člověka. Vyzdvihuje nedocenitelné funkce ekosystémových služeb těchto společenstev, jejich hlavních agrobotanických skupin a také vnímání jejich důležitosti v minulosti. Součástí práce je porovnání vlivu různých dávek hnojení na diverzitu trvalých trav-ních porostů na mezohygrofytním stanovišti na pokusné lokalitě Kameničky. Pro hodnocení diverzity travního porostu bylo použito váhové stanovení a následně aplikován Hillův index diverzity. Mezi sebou byly srovnávány jak jednotlivé varianty s různými dávkami živin, tak navíc vliv vápnění. Ze všech variant vyšla nejlépe kombinace N, P, K v malých dávkách bez vápnění. Vápněné plochy u většiny variant vykazovaly oproti nevápněným nižší index diver-zity a na diverzitu travního porostu hodnoceného stanoviště neměl tento způsob managemen-tu pozitivní efekt. Výjimkou bylo vápnění v kombinaci s vysokými dávkami živin.

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to collect information on possible factors influencing plant species diversity in perennial grasslands. It summarizes the effects of abiotic and biotic factors, but especially the effects of human intervention. It highlights the invaluable ecosystem service functions of these ecosystems, their main agrobotanical groups and the perception of their importance in the past. The paper includes a comparison of the effect of different fertiliser application rates on the diversity of perennial grasslands in a mesohigrophytic habitat at the Kameničky experi-mental site. For the assessment of grassland diversity, weighting was used and then Hill's diversity index was applied. Both the individual variants with different nutrient doses and additionally the effect of liming were compared with each other. The combination of N, P, K at low doses without liming was the best among all variants. The limed plots in most of the variants showed a lower diversity index compared to the non-limed ones and this manage-ment method did not have a positive effect on the diversity of the grassland of the evaluated habitat. The exception was liming in combination with high nutrient doses.
