Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá výpočtem vážené podobnosti trojúhelníkových sítí. Primární pozornost je věnována trojúhelníkovým sítím reprezentujícím trojrozměrné modely lidské tváře. V práci se zaměřujeme na porovnávání tváří metrikou Hausdorffovy vzdálenosti. V mnohých případech mohou být různé části obličeje pro porovnávání různě významné. Naším cílem proto bylo výpočet Hausdorffovy vzdálenosti modifikovat a umožnit tak prioritizaci vybraných částí obličeje na základě jeho antropometrických bodů. Algoritmus byl implementován v jazyce Java jako součást aplikační logiky antropologického softwaru FIDENTIS Analyst 2. Při vývoji byl kladen důraz na snadnou udržovatelnost kódu a efektivitu použitých algoritmů. Efektivní implementace výpočtu Hausdorffovy vzdálenosti byla realizována za použití datové struktury k-D stromu. Implementovaná aplikační logika byla doplněna o prototyp grafického rozhraní. Text práce je členěn do šesti kapitol. První kapitola pojednává o metodách používaných pro určení míry podobnosti tváří. Obsahem druhé kapitoly je seznámení s již existujícím softwarem orientovaným na zpracování lidské tváře pro vědecké účely antropologického výzkumu. Třetí kapitola se věnuje současnému stavu projektů FIDENTIS Analyst a FIDENTIS Analyst 2. Čtvrtá kapitola si klade za cíl přiblížit čtenáři problematiku a pojmy, jež jsou klíčové pro naši práci. Pátá kapitola pojednává o naší adaptaci výpočtu Hausdorffovy vzdálenosti s cílem jejího použití pro určování míry vážené podobnosti lidských tváří. A konečně poslední kapitola je věnována implementaci osvojených teoretických znalostí do programu v jazyce Java.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the calculation of weighted similarity of triangular meshes. The primary focus is on triangular meshes representing three-dimensional models of human faces. This thesis focuses on face comparison using the Hausdorff distance metric. In many cases, different parts of the face may be of different importance for the comparison. Therefore, our goal was to modify the Hausdorff distance calculation to prioritise selected parts of the face based on its anthropometric points. The algorithm was implemented in Java as part of the application logic of the anthropology software FIDENTIS Analyst 2. During the development, emphasis was placed on the easy maintainability of the code and the efficiency of the algorithms used. An efficient implementation of the Hausdorff distance calculation was realised using a k-D tree data structure. The implemented application logic was complemented by a prototype of a graphical user interface. The text of the thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter discusses the methods used to determine the similarity measure of faces. The content of the second chapter is an introduction to existing software oriented towards human face processing for the scientific purposes of anthropological research. The third chapter deals with the current status of the FIDENTIS Analyst and FIDENTIS Analyst 2 projects. The fourth chapter introduces the reader to the issues and concepts that are crucial to our work. The fifth chapter discusses our adaptation of the Hausdorff distance calculation to determine the weighted similarity measure of human faces. Finally, the last chapter is devoted to the implementation of the acquired theoretical knowledge in a Java program.
