Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu tělesnosti a intimity v současné fotografii, a to převážně na české umělecké scéně po roce 2000. Rozdělení do šesti kapitol sleduje linku, kde se intimita a tělesnost potkávají na poli umělecké fotografie. První kapitola přináší úvod do problematiky, mapuje scénu a rovněž připravuje čtenáře na členění a obsah celé práce. Zasazuje příkladné autory a jejich díla do současného kulturního diskurzu a demonstruje směr vývoje zobrazování tělesnosti a intimity ve fotografii na jejich tvorbě. Následujících pět kapitol se věnuje odlišným fenoménům, které si autorka definuje na základě osobní autorské zkušenosti, s cílem lépe pochopit vlastní tvorbu v kontextu současné umělecké scény a předat zkušenost hledání a definování pomocí mocného nástroje pohledu.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the theme of corporeality and intimacy in contemporary photography, mainly in the Czech art scene after 2000. Structured into six chapters, the thesis explores the intersection of intimacy and corporeality in the realm of art photography. The first chapter provides an introduction to the issue, maps the scene and prepares the reader for the structure and content of the whole work. It situates the exemplary artists and their work within contemporary cultural discourse and demonstrates the direction of development of the depiction of corporeality and intimacy in photography through their work. The next five chapters each address distinct phenomena, defined by the author through her artistic experience. This approach aims to deepen understanding of her own work within the contemporary art scene and to share insights into the processes of exploration and definition using the powerful tool of the gaze.
