Anthropologist Aleš Hrdlička and the response of his work in Czechoslovakia and in the world
Abstract:
Práce bude zaměřena na interpretaci díla a významu původem československého antropologa Aleše Hrdličky (1869–1943), který vyřešil základní otázku původu amerických domorodců a stal se jedním z průkopníků americké i světové antropologie. V Československu ale jeho práce i osobnost zůstala od poloviny 20. století na pokraji zájmu.
Abstract:
The thesis is focused on the interpretation of the work and the significance of the Czechoslovakian anthropologist Aleš Hrdlička (1869–1943), who solved the fundamental issue of the origin of the First Nations of America and became one of the pioneers of American and worldwide anthropology.
