Heptamethinové cyanine (Cy7) jsou důležité molekuly pro fluorescenční spektros-kopii. Jejich skvělé fotochemické vlastnosti a nízká toxicita je předurčují prědevším pro využití v medicíně. Některé Cy7 byly studovány jako potencionální látky pro fo-todynamickou terapii. Tyto deriváty však vykazují nízký výtěžek singletového kys-líku, což může vést k nízké účinnosti terapie. Abstract:
Heptamethine cyanines (Cy7) play an important role as fluorescence probes. Their great photochemical properties and low toxicity predestined them for medicinal ap-plications. Many of Cy7 derivatives have also been introduced as photodynamic agents, but they suffer from poor singlet oxygen production.
