Selected profiles of serial killers in the territory of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářské práce s názvem „Vybrané profily sériových vrahů na území České republiky“ se věnuje problematice sériových vražd a jejich pachatelů. Na konkrétních případech sériových vražd, které byly spáchány V Československé a později České republice od 50. let minulého století až po současnost, vyhledává a identifikuje možné společné charakteristické rysy a znaky. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části vysvětluje základní terminologii související s tímto fenoménem, charakterizuje osobu pachatele, právní úpravu a také postupy při vyšetřování. V praktické části se zaměřuje na některé nejznámější pachatele. Cílem práce je na konkrétních kazuistikách československých a českých sériových vrahů identifikovat možné společné znaky, jako jsou pohlaví pachatele, jeho věk, motivace ke spáchání činu a způsob jeho provedení, a to při páchání trestných činů vražd. Na těchto kazuistikách je provedena komparace, jejíž cílem je zjistit, zda mají nějaké společné charakteristické rysy.

Abstract:

This bachelor`s work entitled „Selected Profiles of Serial Killers in the territory of the Czech Republic" adresses the issue of serial murders and their perpetrators. Focusing on specific cases of serial murders committed in Czechoslovakia and later in the Czech Republic from the 1950s to the present day, it seeks to identify possible common characteristics and traits. The bachelor`s work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The teoretical section explains the basic terminology related to this phenomenom, characterizes the person of the perpetrator, the legal regulation, as well as the investigation procedures. The practical part focuses on some of the most notorious offenders. The aim of the bachelor`s work is to identify possible common characteristics of Czechoslovak and Czech serial killers through specific case studies, such as the gender of the perpetrator, their age, motives, and methods of committing the crime, particularly murder offenses. A comparison is made among these case studies to determine if they share any common characteristics.
