Evaluation of company performance using financial benchmarking

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the use of financial benchmarking in business management. The main goal of the thesis is to determine the position of the selected company in comparison with its benchmarking partner and provide suggestions for improvement. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the definition of benchmarking and the characteristics of financial analysis, which is needed to evaluate the financial performance of the company. In the analytical part, both companies will be subjected to financial analysis. The final part of the thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial condition of companies, a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of companies and contains its own author's concept of proposals and recommendations to improve the financial performance of the selected company.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá využitím finančného benchmarkingu v riadení podniku. Hlavným cieľom diplomovej práce je určiť pomocou finančného benchmarkingu pozíciu vybraného podniku v porovnaní s jeho benchmarkingovým partnerom a poskytnúť návrhy na zlepšenie. Teoretická časť diplomovej práce je zameraná na definíciu benchmarkingu a charakteristiku finančnej analýzy, ktorá je potrebná na zhodnotenie finančnej výkonnosti podniku. V analytickej časti budú obe spoločnosti podrobené finančnej analýze. Záverečná časť diplomovej práce sa venuje zhodnoteniu finančného stavu spoločností, zhrnutiu silných a slabých stránok podnikov a obsahuje vlastný autorský koncept návrhov a doporučení na zlepšenie finančnej výkonnosti vybraného podniku.
