The influence of adding Cu on the mechanical and antibacterial properties of sputtered layers

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce byla příprava tenkých vrstev ZrCuN, které byly reaktivně naprašovány ve směsi Ar + N2 za použití nevyváženého duálního magnetronu, na kterém byly nasazeny skládané terče složené ze Zr disku připevněného Cu kroužkem s vnitřním průměrem in = 34 mm. Tenké vrstvy byly deponovány na Si a Mo substráty, které byly umístěny ve vzdálenosti ds-t = 80 mm od terčů. Byly připraveny tři série vrstev ZrCuN při dvou hodnotách celkového tlaku pT = 2 Pa a 1 Pa a dvou hodnotách předpětí substrátu Us = Ufl a -100 V. Byl zkoumán vliv parciálního tlaku pN2 na depoziční rychlost, fázové a prvkové složení a mechanické vlastnosti. U vybraných vrstev byla zkoumána odolnost vůči vzniku trhlin při ohybovém a indentačním testu. U jedné vrstvy byly zkoumány antibakteriální vlastnosti.

Abstract:

The subject of this diploma thesis is the deposition of ZrCuN thin films, which were reactively sputtered in Ar + N2 mixture using unbalanced dual magnetron equipped with stacked targets composed of Zr disc attached by Cu ring with an inner diameter of in = 34 mm. Thin films were deposited on Si and Mo substrates placed at a distance of ds-t = 80 mm from targets. There were prepared three series of ZrCuN thin films at two values of total pressure pT = 2 Pa and 1 Pa, respectively, and at two values of substrate bias Us = Ufl and -100 V, respectively. The influence of partial pressure pN2 on deposition rate, phase and structure composition and mechanical properties has been analyzed. Selected layers were investigated to crack initiation in bending and indentation test. One selected layer was examined for antibacterial test.
