Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem plaveckého bazénu ve městě Chotěboř. Základem diplomové práce je nalézt a vybrat správný pozemek ke stavbě plaveckého bazénu a celkový návrh konstrukce. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část aplikační. V teoretické části se řeší historie, definice bazénů a statistiky ročního období.
