Use of Online Sequencer Soundtrap (DAW) in Teaching Music Education at Lower-Secondary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na základní popis a práci s online DAW Soundtrap. Začátek práce popisuje současnou situaci používání informačních a komunikačních technologií v hudební oblasti školství. Zmiňuje jak teoretické požadavky kladené na výuku hudební výchovy (letmý přehled rámcových vzdělávacích plánů škol s rozvrhovanou všeobecnou HV), tak i reálné zkušenosti pedagogů s hudebními informačními a komunikačními technologiemi z praxe, samotné povědomí pedagogů o hudebním hardwaru/softwaru a jeho využití ve výuce. Další část práce zmiňuje současnou nabídku produkčních softwarů, sekvencerů a DAW softwarů placených, ale i volně dostupných. Následující část práce se přímo zaměřuje na DAW Soundtrap, základní informace o něm, popis vlastního pracovního prostředí a konkrétní praktické aktivity, jejichž nedílnou součástí jsou metodické popisy s příklady aktivit pro přímé a rychlé aplikování do hodin HV na 2. stupni základních škol či nižším stupni víceletých gymnázií.

Abstract:

This master's thesis is focused on basic description of the Soundtrap online digital audio workstation and working with it. The beginning of the thesis describes the current situation of the use of information and communication technologies in the field of Music Education. It mentions theoretical requirements for teaching Music Education (a brief overview of general educational plans of schools with scheduled general Music Education), as well as practicing teachers' real experiences with information and communication technologies in music, their awareness of music hardware/software and its use in teaching. The next part of the work mentions the current offer of paid production software, sequencers and DAW software, but also those freely available. The following part of the thesis is directly focused on DAW Soundtrap, basic information about it, a description of its own workspace and specific practical activities with their integral parts including methodical descriptions with examples of activities for direct and fast application to lessons of Music Education at primary school or lower eight-year gymnasium.
