Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá v teoretickej časti najprv konzervatívnou liečbou pacientov s diabetom mellitom 2. typu, používanou v bežnej klinickej praxi, ktorej primárna snaha je zamedzenie nástupu diabetických komplikácií a pozostáva prevažne z farmakoterapie a v menšej miere z režimových opatrení.
