Antigenic variation in spirochetes
Abstract:
Patogenní spirochety využívají antigenní variace k úniku před imunitní reakcí hostitele. Antigenní variabilita je zajišťována bodovými mutacemi, regulací transkripce, genovou konverzí a přestavbami sekvencí DNA. Genom těchto bakterií obsahuje tiché geny nebo kazety, které slouží jako materiál pro rekombinaci.
Abstract:
Pathogenic spirochetes use antigenic variation for evasion of host immune reaction. Antigenic variability is ensured by point mutations, transcription regulation, gene conversion and rearrangement of DNA sequences. Their genome contains silent genes or cassetes as a material for genetic recombination.
